All skilled nursing facilities and assisted living centers are committed to providing the very best quality for their residents. Facilities provide continuing education opportunities for their staff members so they remain updated on the latest clinical best practices, equipment, technology and regulations. In addition, numerous governmental agencies conduct surveys on a regular basis in order to monitor the quality performance of skilled nursing facilities and assisted living centers. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service (CMS) release quarterly reports comparing the key quality measures of all skilled nursing facilities in the United States.
