Listed below are the different types of membership available through the Arizona Health Care Association. AHCA is proud of its members: facility, business, individual, auxiliary and honorary. Join the Arizona Health Care Association today!


Facility Member: (Voting) → Membership Application

A Facility Member is the holder of the license of the health care facility licensed as a nursing care institution which offers long term, extended care, transitional care and/or subacute care services which are subject to a program of inspection or licensure or certification or approval by one or more governmental agencies for which dues and assessments are received by AHCA and whose membership is approved by the board of directors. Assisted Living Member: (Voting) → Membership Application

An Assisted Living Member is the holder of the license of the health care facility which offers long term care and/or assisted living services which are subject to a program of inspection or licensure or certification or approval by one or more governmental agencies for which dues are received by AHCA and whose membership is approved by the board of directors. Assisted living members have voting privileges and will be represented on the AHCA Board of Directors by the assisted living vice president. Business Affiliate Member: (Voting) → Membership Application

A Business Affiliate Member is any person, company or organization that provides products or services to long term care facilities, who is not an operator of any type of long term care facility, and who is not currently affiliated with anyone eligible for voting membership or another category of membership, and whose dues are received by AHCA and whose membership is approved by the board of directors. A business affiliate member will designate an individual as their organizational representative. Business affiliate members will be represented on the board of directors by a business affiliate representative who is elected by the business affiliate members. Honorary Member: (Non-Voting)

An honorary member may be any individual who has made an eminent contribution to the health care field. Upon approval by the board of directors, honorary membership may be granted at any AHCA meeting and be bestowed on that individual at the next annual meeting. Honorary membership is designated for lifetime. An honorary member will not have voting privileges except as outlined in Article VII, Section I of the AHCA Bylaws.
