The Advancing Excellence in America’s Nursing Homes campaign launched Phase II with new goals and a revamped website. To continue participating, all nursing facilities that joined the Campaign prior to October 21, 2009, need to re-enroll by updating their online profile. Please go to the new Web site and re-register today –click here. If you need help with registering, visit the “Contact Us” section of the Web site –click here. The Campaign set a goal of having 5,000 nursing facilities registered for Phase II in 90 days so please do not procrastinate. AHCA is a founding member of the Advancing Excellence coalition and currently serves on the Campaign’s Steering Committee and several allied Workgroups.

Hearing: Senate Public Safety & Human Services (3/17 9:00 AM, Senate Rm. 3)
PLEASE mark your Calendars for the hearing in the Senate NEXT WEDNESDAY MARCH 17th at 9AM on our liability reform bill H 2425. If at all possible, try to attend this hearing in person! Either way please sign in your support on-line at www.azleg.gov, go to Request to Speak on the front page, click on Senate, then go to agenda by Committee and go to the Public Safety and Human Service Committee and click on H 2425, please make sure you state the facility or company you represent and click FOR and Do NOT WISH TO SPEAK.Remember that you must be registered at the Capitol kiosk as a user in advance of signing in your support. This juncture is critical in the successful passage of this legislation and this is a true CALL TO ACTION! NAHCA’s 2010 Annual Conference and "Key to Quality" Awards Banquet will be held on June 2-3, 2010 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Befitting long term caregivers. The theme of this year’s conference is "NAHCAWOOD: Celebrating the Stars of Long Term Care". Two exciting days filled with acclaimed speakers anxious to present sessions sure to inspire, give new perspectives and educate on a broad range of topics pertinent to the important role of care giving are planned.
To celebrate and recognize both individual and collective achievements among the caregiver "stars" in long term care, the high energy two days will culminate with the "Key to Quality" Awards Banquet. This is an evening of recognition for the outstanding efforts of the nation’s most accomplished caregivers!
